I had an excellent stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel very welcome throughout my visit. The building itself is old but absolutely beautiful — full of character and history. It’s a shame that from the outside it doesn’t quite reflect how charming it truly is inside. This is a historic hotel that forms an important part of the city’s heritage, and it truly deserves to be appreciated and valued again. I hope it receives the recognition it deserves.

We had a beautiful suite with a sea view. View was stunning, bed was clean and comfy. Nice bath. Great value for money. Couldn't fault the room. The lady who checked us in was a little rude unfortunately, but all the other staff were great. A really beautiful building in a great location, 2 mins walk from the pier.

I have been staying at the Cavendish for 3 weeks now. (Divorce pending) .The staff are so helpfull and accommodating. Especially ‘OZGE’ I have my dog with me which is a real bonus. My room is lovely with sea view - I don’t need housekeeping everyday, but when it is done it is incredible (thank you Sophie). Plenty of tea, coffee, toiletries etc. I have a fridge in my room which is great. It is such real good value - Haven’t had the breakfast or meals so can’t comment. But only GOOD things to say - thank you Cavendish

We stayed at The Cavendish in Eastbourne for a weekend, and while the rooms are a bit outdated, the service was truly five-star and beyond. If it were possible to give 10 stars for service, I absolutely would. A special thank you to Steph at reception, who genuinely made our stay exceptional. She went out of her way to do everything she could to make us feel comfortable, welcome, and well looked after. Her warmth, professionalism, and care made such a difference and turned our stay into a really memorable experience. The entire team was wonderful — attentive, friendly, and consistently helpful. You can tell they truly care about their guests, and that level of service is something special. We’re incredibly grateful for everything Steph and the team did for us. They made our weekend in Eastbourne amazing, and because of them, we highly recommend this hotel. We would happily return.

Lovely location, right across from the beach. Just down from the pier. Buses stop outside. Short walk to town centre. Staff were very helpful. Food was very good. Hotel and rooms were a bit tired, but clean. Went for a tribute weekend, had an excellent time.

Honestly, I couldn’t recommend this place more. Me and the Mrs are always in hotels often big hotel chains etc. We booked 3 nights here and seriously can’t knock it at all. The room, bang on. The breakfast, bang on. The service, bang on. Over and above the mundane service you get in most usual hotels. Very impressed. 10/10

Can not complain for the price we paid. Room slightly dated but we did get a bargain price! Room was clean, cozy and warm. Lovely crisp clean bedding and towels. Peaceful too. Plenty of tea and coffee. Lovely hot water. Great night sleep. Couldn't want more when visiting family, for what we paid. Reception and bar area beautiful.
